The Freie Evangelikale Gemeinde (FEG) Innsbruck consists of people who believe in Jesus Christ and who have received peace with God and new life through Him. Adults and children, Tiroleans and people from all over the world visit the weekly church services. During the week we meet in bible study groups.
The Freie Evangelikale Gemeinde Innsbruck is member of the Bund Evangelikaler Gemeinden in Österreich (BEGÖ) and is recognised by the government as religious body.
The church was founded in 1985 when pastor Manfred Warscher and his family moved to Innsbruck and started a home bible study group. Evangelistic outreaches under the title "Without God nothing makes sense" were received with great interest. People came to know God personally and were baptized. In the beginning of 1986 we moved into the rooms at Bozner Platz 5.
In the fall of 2000 our church started with biannual Alpha courses for those searching and interested in the Christian faith. At about the same time Jochen Riemer became pastor of the church.
In June of 2008 we could move into our new rooms at Reichenauerstraße 19. Due to church growth the old premises have become too small for us. Now we have room again for our alpha courses, church-lunches, kid-service, toddler group, etc.
Highlights in our church are beside the Alpha courses our services for guests, parties and lunch at church. Our church is composed of a great variety of people, people of all age groups and many different nationalities. We are always open to welcome interested people, visitors and guests. We are able to translate the service into other languages, at present English and Farsi (Persian). |
